Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona is one of our favorite European cities. There is so much to do and see here. Just when you think you've seen it all, you come across another part of the city with an entirely unique vibe. We’ve been a couple of times now and one of our favorite things to do besides the obvious of drinking wine and over eating tapas, is to rent bikes for the day and hop from spot to spot.
The culture of the city makes us feel like we are at home in Austin or Denver for some reason and the people there are seriously so friendly. From taking a siesta every day to eating dinner late at night...Spain knows how to do it right!
Stay
Hotel Brummel - This hotel has a great interior and is located in a prime spot. It was a close walk/bike ride to everywhere we wanted to go.
Eat
Quimet Quimet - This is our favorite restaurant in all of Barcelona. It is a teeny tiny little place that is packed but the tapas are so delicious and the whole experience was wonderful.
Pez Vela - This fun restaurant was perfect for lunch and is right on the beach. We rode our bikes along the water and then took a seat. The meal begin with sangria and ended with paella.
Nomad Coffee Shop and Lab - This place has such great coffee. We grabbed our coffee to go and were on our way in the rain.
