We were fortunate to spend a weekend at Lake Austin Spa, located just thirty minutes outside the city of Austin. A huge plus was that it was pet friendly, so bringing Aspen along for the weekend was the icing on the cake to an already amazing weekend away.
The resort is located right on the Colorado river which affords you the opportunity to take canoes, kayaks and paddleboards all over the place. The crazy thing for us was that it felt at times like we were in the Amazon somewhere and at times in Colorado.
We love how in thirty minutes you can literally feel like you’ve left Austin and be transported to another world.
