We had the opportunity to travel to Sydney, Australia a few weeks back on a last minute work trip and were pleasantly surprised at what we experienced! We've always wanted to explore Oceania, so when this opportunity presented itself we said yes without hesitation! 17.5 hours later (Direct), we landed in Sydney.

We only had a few days in the city before heading to Byron Bay (city guide coming soon). What we did experience though was incredible food, amazing people and a thriving culture! We would definitely like to go back to Australia and experience more of this wonderful place!

Stay

The Old Clare Hotel - This place was a gem to stay at. It had so much character and our room was amazing. It was located right across the street from Spice Alley which is a little alleyway filled with street food from all over that is so delicious it will blow your mind!

Do

Go to the Sydney Opera House - Neither one of us are much for Opera but at least go check out the building!

Take the lovely walk from Bondi to Coogee - This was such a nice way to spend a few hours on our first full day in Sydney.

Eat lots of Acai Bowls - Need we say more?

Visit the famous Bondi Icebergs Pool - Just do it! You can be dropped off really close to it.

Walk around the Bondi Area - This part of town was our favorite for sure! There were tons of great restaurants, coffee shops and clothing stores!

Check out the zoo - We got to see koalas, wallabies and a platypus! This was a fun way to see some of Australias native animals.
